Little Free Library on Meadowlark

Neighbors, looking for a good book to read and finding it in walking distance? Thanks to Cokie and Robin Blake, we have a second "Little Free Library" in our neighborhood where anyone can take a book and return a book - not necessarily the book you borrowed.  Some time ago, neighbor Jan Dye heard of the idea happening in other parts of the country, and she put placed a library in her front yard at 2222 Bluff Blvd. The newest library in front of the Blake's house is near the corner of Meadowlark and Pheasant Run.

Just in time for the cooler months when you can cozy up to a good book indoors! Cokie and Robin invite you to stop by their little free library anytime. Happy reading!

Some of our neighbors have been in contact with local phone/internet companies to bring in fiber to our neighborhood to increase internet speed.   According to neighbor Matt Villasana, "Basically, if an area gets enough interest, Socket will look to bring their fiber network to serve those neighborhoods. Please share the link, below, and ask that they fill out the form if they are interested in fiber connectivity."  For more information from Matt, you can email him matthewvillasana@gmail.com

Several of us from the neighborhood have participated in this program.  I thought I knew a lot about our city and how to make things happen or to get something done.  Well, this program was so informative - there was a lot I did not know! I think every citizen should attend this!
